Bajra Cultivation steps to improve the crop growth –
- Light soils of low inherent fertility good drainage, mild salinity are best type for this crop.
- The crop needs very fine tilt because the seeds are too small.
- Sowing – 1st June to 15 August, Seeding rate 1.5 kg to 2 kg per Acre
- Thinning or gap filling is followed at the time of first inter culture.
- The crop is harvested when grains become hard enough and contain moisture.
